Advancements in Cognitive Psychology (AICP) is a (personal) research tool and data warehouse dedicated to providing current news in the study of memory, language processing, perception, problem solving, and thinking. This blog examines and communicates current insight into the impact of cognitive theory and provide insight into new theoretical advancements in the field of cognitive psychology. Additionally, this blog is designed to branch other aspects of psychology which is related to other disciplines including neuroscience, philosophy, artificial intelligence, and linguistics. The core focus of AICP is to understand how the brain works, how people acquire, process, store information and examine internal mental processes. Finally, AICP is interested in the psychological phenomenon of cognition.
I am a fourth year Doctoral candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute studying Clinical Psychology from a Jungian Depth perspective. I hold a B.S. in Workforce Education, Technical Training, Organizational Development (ETD), and Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
I also hold a M.A. in Organizational Management (Industrial Psychology), a M.S. in Community Counseling Psychology (Environmental Psychology), and a D.D. (Doctor of Divinity). Further, I am a Doctoral candidate in a Clinical Psychology PsyD program which is a psychoanalytic (Freudian) focus.
Finally, I am an Armed Forces Veteran; I spent six years in the US Army National Guard, six Years in the US Navy Active Reserves, three years in College ROTC, three years in the JROTC program, and three years in the United States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol (CAP).
